Fiagril and Limagrain have had a partnership for 11 years and are now studying how to guarantee the best offer and the highest profitability to the producer with hybrids of high productive ceiling.
The evolution in the field over the past decades shows how important it is to be aware of technological innovations to ensure improved productivity, as well as crop management. And here it is worth emphasizing the revolution with the advent of biotechnology in seeds. Today, the State of Mato Grosso is one of the world’s largest producers of soybeans and corn, with a potential to multiply its production while still complying with sustainability issues, providing technologies to improve productivity in already plowable areas.
Fiagril, acknowledged as one of the largest distributors of inputs in Brazil, has an 11-year partnership with Limagrain, a reference in seed technology in Europe and in the Americas. In February, the company’s world leadership team was at the headquarters of the State of Mato Grosso company to, besides celebrating the cooperation agreement and the 11 years of partnership, also get to know the transformation of the corn chain, in the Middle North of the State of Mato Grosso, after the installation of ethanol plants.
Fiagril’s commercial director, Marcos Castro, highlights that the company is Limagrain’s biggest business partner in Brazil and the coming of the French cooperative’s main leaders, from several areas, also has the objective of strengthening relations, guaranteeing the possibility of access to new corn hybrids, soy varieties, biotechnology, and thus offer high yield crops, ensuring greater profitability for Fiagril’s customers.
“Limagrain is a seed company that operates worldwide. Brazil is an important Country for Limagrain’s business and Fiagril is a strategic partner in the State of Mato Grosso. They came to see the research and development center in Sorriso, in addition to contacting customers who use its technology in seeds. In this visit, besides celebrating the results of the 11-year partnership, we were able to transfer our knowledge regarding the local corn market and the changes in the corn chain, with the corn energy transformation after the installation of the ethanol plants”, explained Marcos Castro.
The idea is for Limagrain to better understand the dynamics of this production and where their hybrids can be best positioned, ensuring high production ceiling and excellent grain quality and higher profits to the Fiagril’s customer.
“Much more than just supplying agricultural inputs to customers, we need to bring them new technologies that provide greater profitability. Being close to Limagrain’s leadership enables us to build a better future for our customers in all the regions where we operate”, he said.
Fiagril has been operating for over 34 years and it is a reference in the origination of grains, distribution of agricultural inputs, production of biodiesel and technical assistance to producers. Its purpose is to transform lives by connecting sustainable production to the world.
