Fiagril apoia Escolinha de Futebol do Luverdense
Aiming to encourage sports and citizenship formation of young people in Lucas do Rio Verde (340 km from Cuiabá), Fiagril is supporting the creation of the first Soccer School of Luverdense Esporte Clube (LEC). The project serves children and teenagers between 7 and 15 years old with classes in the bairros Campos dos Bandeirantes, Tessele Junior, Cerrado and Rio Verde.
“Sport has an especially important role not only in the formation of athletes, but in the construction of citizenship and education for these young people. They have the opportunity, through the practice of sports, to work on discipline, respect for others, and social integration. Fiagril has been seeking to support projects of social impact in the communities where it operates and as we are long-time partners of Luverdense, we also welcomed the school project,” said Henrique Mazzardo, CEO of Fiagril.
Classes started last month, but those interested in participating can sign up at any of the four locations where training takes place. The classes are held by category: Under 11 for athletes aged 7 to 11; Under 13 for athletes aged 12 to 13; Under 15 for athletes aged 14 and 15, and Under 17 for athletes aged 16 and 17, forming the Municipal selection to play in sports.
The team’s president, Jaime Binsfeld, says that the action is making it possible to give “new opportunities for dreams and future talents”.
Alan do Nascimento, one of the beneficiaries of the initiative, is only 10 years old and is already an excellent striker. In the match that preceded the signing of the term, the youngster scored two goals. “Soccer is a sport that I really like to play. I am a striker because scoring goals gives me joy”.
In January this year, Luverdense Esporte Clube celebrated its 17th anniversary. Founded in 2004, the team has won three State titles. Fiagril is one of the team’s sponsors since the beginning of its history. The team boosted the City during the dispute of the B Series of the Brazilian Championship from 2014 to 2017.
