With a positive balance last year, when the company recorded revenues of R$1.8 billion from input sales alone, Fiagril is launching its 2023 Sustainability Report this week. The document presents the balance of activities carried out, including investments in expansion, as well as its ESG commitments.
“The year 2023 was one of the most challenging for the input, grain and biodiesel market and at Fiagril we also needed to adjust course to keep our strategic planning on track. Despite this scenario, we remain optimistic, looking to the future, because we know that the challenges remain, but we will be prepared to overcome them because we have a firm and strong team to drive the company’s growth and solidity,” says Fiagril’s CEO, Henrique Mazzardo.
According to the report, in 2023 the company reached 24 sales points in the states of Mato Grosso, Rondônia, Pará and Tocantins. In the origination market alone, 1.7 million tons of soybeans and corn were handled, including marketing, services and storage.
Among the actions that stood out last year was the launch of Confia (connectivity + Fiagril), an easy-to-access app that allows customers to have important information for more assertive decision-making. Farmers have at their disposal data such as commodity prices, the market situation, grain quality, as well as remote and digital signatures for contracts with Fiagril, pre-approved credit, among other features.
The year 2023 was also marked by investment in training for employees. The Integra Mais Platform alone provided 550,200 hours of training, divided into more than 120 courses. There were 11,800 hours of training focused on safety.
Another important point was support in the areas of sport, culture and health. By supporting the Gemte Project (Mato Grosso Entrepreneurial Group in Evolution), the company offered financial support to help municipalities improve their educational indices. Two athletes from the Brazilian Karate Team also received sponsorship from the company.
